The Vision

The purpose of Family Ministry is to support parents and children as they learn to worship together.

VISION FOR FAMILY MINISTRY:

  1. For parents to become the primary disciple-makers of their children.

  2. For the church to provide support, encouragement, and resources.

We see children not as a burden but as a blessing to the family of God, and they are always welcome in our services.

What is Family Worship?

Our Sunday Gathering takes place from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm and includes singing, communion, and teaching. These gatherings may also feature testimonies, prayer, and other Spirit-led moments of ministry and encouragement. Because we value the family, we celebrate the diversity of young and old coming together on Sundays to worship Jesus as one.

How Can We Help You?

Our church serves one another in many ways, but we also have trained volunteers each week who are dedicated to supporting parents and children during the service.

What you can expect from a Family Ministry Helper:

  • Helpers rely on the Holy Spirit’s guidance to meet each family’s needs with grace and gentleness throughout the service.

  • Helpers wear badges so you can easily identify them if you need assistance.

  • Helpers are present in the Lobby from about 11:45 am to 12:30 pm (during the teaching).

  • Helpers offer simple resources such as coloring sheets, quiet toys, or sermon notes to help children and parents stay connected to our service.

  • Provide practical help, e.g., holding a baby, assisting a nursing mother, or helping a parent with multiple young children.

  • Since many families who seek assistance are women with young children, Family Helpers are often women; however, we also welcome and include men who are gifted to serve in this ministry.

Sunday Family Spaces Available

  • Auditorium: Children are welcome to move, dance, and worship during singing, whether up front in the open spaces or right in your row. You’re also free to create space in the back or in your row for clipboards, activity pages, or quiet toys.

  • Lobby: Located at the entrance of our main building. This space is used for parents and children to stay engaged with the service while using available activities and resources. Children’s resources are at the Green Table and can be used in the Lobby or Auditorium during service. A Family Ministry Helper is stationed here each week to help families, and the service is streamed live.

  • Cry Room: Located down the main hallway on the left. This space is available for caring for children, nursing, or letting little ones move. The service is streamed live in this room.

  • Nursery Room: Located in Class 101 (Orange Room) at the end of the main hallway. A Nursery Volunteer is scheduled weekly for ages 0 to 3, but parents are always welcome to use the room for diaper changes, nursing, or giving their child a break. The service is streamed live here as well.
